Celebrities can’t get enough of changing their hair, and EmRata is no stranger to the game. Even though her long brunette hair is a staple of her look, Emily Ratajkowski’s Bob is making a case for the Dora-esque bob. With so many celebrities chopping their hair off for lob girl summer, I should’ve suspected EmRata would soon follow—even if it’s not in the way I thought.
It might be hard to picture her without long hair, but EmRata actually did sport a bob before. At New York Fashion Week last year, she brought out an ear length bob with bangs for the Marc Jacobs show. And in true celebrity hair transformation fashion, her long hair was magically back the next day. Sadly, this new bob is a similar situation, but I’m still hoping she eventually just full sends it and cuts her actual hair off.

Emily Ratajkowski was seen filming her new film Too Much with a Dora the Explorer blunt bob. Like her 2023 NYFW look, this look is complete with wispy baby bangs and a beach wave texture. But, we know EmRata loves her long hair, mostly because she was immediately seen with it again after finishing filming. I know a model as booked and busy as her can’t give up her precious locks, but I really wish she’d consider committing to this look—because she really is selling it.

Some might call her hairstyle an “Italian bob,” but let’s just call it what it really is—a Dora the Explorer bob. And sure the Dora bob might have a bad reputation, but EmRata just proved how chic it can be. Her look is the epitome of the quiet-luxury aesthetic, and I can seriously envision her buying expensive pastries and art books in the West Village with this hair. So even though it’s merely a wig (and a good one at that), I think it’s time we give the Dora bob a second chance. After all, in the summer heat, nothing is more freeing than a short haircut.
