It’s been almost a year since we saw the Christmas dinner that changed our lives forever. With the new season slowly approaching, here’s our dream cast for The Bear season 3 and hopefully it lives up to expectations.
Hulu and FX’s The Bear season 3 drops on June 27, 2024, and gathering everything from the trailer, it’s going to be a stressful treat. The OG cast—Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson—returns, but who can forget the iconic set of cameos in the second season? From Olivia Colman, John Mulaney, Robert Townsend, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson, Jamie Lee Curtis, and who could forget the handsome chef Will Poulter, we’re all awaiting who’s going to magically appear on our screens for the upcoming season and if SydCarmy will actually be a thing.
All The Cameos In Season 2 Of The Bear, Explained
Who’s in our The Bear Season 3 dream cast?
Below, everyone who we wish will appear on Season 3 of The Bear. FX casting directors: if you’re reading this, please make at least one of these happen.
J. Smith-Cameron

The Succession and The Bear crossover we never knew we needed. If we saw Geri in the throes of The Bear’s dining area, we would absolutely freak out. Maybe she’s an investor within the restaurant or a secret food critic who helps the restaurant attain its coveted Michelin Star. Will she put up with Carmy and Cousin’s BS? Who knows?
Also, it’s been a longtime dream of Ayo Edibiri to star in a project with J. Smith Cameron. They even joked about cooking brown foods together.
Steven Yeun

A fellow Midwest boy. Steven Yeun would be so good as another stretched-thin, hustling chef. He could be a new chef in Carmy’s kitchen or a server who gets way too fed up with all the yelling in the kitchen. The actor also has roots in Chicago—joining various improv groups including The Second City.
Allison Williams

We’re on our hands and knees for a Marni and Desi reunion! After their Vanity Fair video together seven years after Girls, we can’t get enough of Allison Williams and Ebon Moss-Bacharach’s chemistry. Could be a blast from Cousin Richie’s past—quite literally.
Keke Palmer

It’s ya girl Keke! As another Chicago native, we just want to see Keke in the dining room and react to all of the chaos that’s happening in the back of the house. Imagine her asking Fak where her food is when the kitchen is up in flames!
Andrew Santino

He’s a hilarious comedian and known for his work in Beef and Dave. We can see him just vibing in the kitchen and up to the same nonsense as all the staff.
Danny Pudi

We want a Community reunion. With Joel McHale and Gillian Jacobs in recurring roles in the show and the actor hailing from the Windy City, it would be the perfect decision to put Danny Pudi in the show. Some fans even speculated that his headshot had a cameo in season 1 of the show. Funny easter egg!
Kieran & Macaulay Culkin

Home Alone again? Picture Kieran Culkin as a manic food critic at The Bear, but he ends up sitting with his brother Macaulay who got reservations at the same time. Then cue a lengthy conversation and a sly reference to the iconic Christmas movie series—which, of course, is based in Chicago.
Stephen Colbert

This might be a Second City love letter, but imagine if The Bear’s opening garners nationwide headlines and we see Stephen Colbert joking about how this scrappy hot dog joint ended up to be a fine dining restuarant.
Edward Norton

Edward Norton would be a crazy addition to Carmy’s family. Every season has a family reunion or party of some kind, and this new addition would be one for the history books.
Graham Elliot

A famous chef in a famous series about cooking? Groundbreaking. Masterchef alum Graham Elliot could make a guest appearance a lá the restaurant tour that Sydney did in the season 2. He’s already got a couple of Michelin stars under his belt. Maybe he could be a good mentor to Carmy and Syd when the restaurant is in shambles.
